Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. Tennessee allows direct access to physical therapy, which means you can schedule directly without a referral from your physician. If you have prior imaging or records, bring them along. They can help us understand your history faster, but they're not required to get started.
What's the difference between cash-based and insurance PT?
Insurance-based clinics are limited by visit caps and shared appointment models. Here, your care is set by what you actually need, not a coverage ceiling. Every session is 1-on-1, and we can provide a superbill if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
How is this different from PT I've tried before?
Most PT experiences start with a generic protocol and hand you off to a tech. We start with a root-cause investigation before any plan is written. Every session is hands-on with your PT, focused on building your actual capacity, not just managing symptoms.
Can I keep running while I'm in physical therapy?
It depends on where you are and what's going on mechanically, and the answer changes as you progress.
